So....Turns out medical school is a big commitment (I know...surprising isn't it?) It would be around 10 more years before I could truly practice independently (including residency). I've been looking into a Masters Immersion program where I would get my masters in nursing in 2.2 years or so. Then, I could be a nurse practitioner and practice fairly independently (Thank you Washington) without having to get my RN. Well...who knows where I'll go. I'll have to spend a lot of time considering all my options, which works because all I have is time.

Note: I think I will qualify to sit for my RN exam sometime after the first four quarters. I'll have to verify that. I just thought about that when I read the post.
