Job

So, I got a new job. I'm a unit tech on the neuro, ortho, spine and oncology unit at Evergreen Hospital. I'm working evenings part time. Cool stuff.

So...

So....Turns out medical school is a big commitment (I know...surprising isn't it?) It would be around 10 more years before I could truly practice independently (including residency). I've been looking into a Masters Immersion program where I would get my masters in nursing in 2.2 years or so. Then, I could be a nurse practitioner and practice fairly independently (Thank you Washington) without having to get my RN. Well...who knows where I'll go. I'll have to spend a lot of time considering all my options, which works because all I have is time.
Cheers.

A Lazy Day

I didn't do much today. It rained so I couldn't paint. I'm painting my dentist's house to pay for a crown, because my new insurance doesn't cover dental fees. Yay! I have a job interview for a physical therapy assistant in a couple weeks, so that is good. I painted a kind of cool picture of Atlas today. I need to register for classes but I need approval to waive some pre-reqs before I can do that. It just dawned on me that I might actually miss SPU next year. After four years you get used to a place.

The First Post

So, this is my first post on my new blog, which am writing at the start of my new life. I have just returned from Europe after graduating college. Now, I must choose a direction for my life. I am considering taking pre-reqs for medical school. That will take two years. Then, I'll do four years of formal medical school, followed by 3 or so years of residency.
